Delivery drivers

Various routes and start times

We are currently looking for an efficient, reliable and competent delivery driver. You will be responsible for ensuring our products are delivered to our customer base in a timely, efficient manner. As a delivery driver you will be the face of the organisation, you will therefore be expected to have excellent customer service skills, be polite and courteous at all times to other road users and our customers.

You must have an excellent track record in delivery driving and hold a valid full UK driving licence. You must comply with all driver hours and road transport directive legislation. You must possess a flexible approach to working arrangements and accept the nature of driving conditions at times.

Hours: 45-55hrs per week –Monday to Friday, Saturdays available too.

Salary range: Negotiable depending on routes and start times.

Goods IN/Out Assistant

Summary

To check goods received against delivery notes and to input delivery note details onto the Company system, complying with Company procedure. Reporting all non-conformance and short delivery details appropriately, ensure accuracy of stock movement. Assist with unloading of deliveries where necessary.

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and defects

  • Enter Delivery note detail onto the Company system promptly and accurately matching the correct purchase order number

  • Notify the relevant department/manager of any short delivery or mis-picks, damaged goods

  • Ensure any damages are placed in quarantine area for returning or reporting

  • Assist when required with the physical movement of stock from Goods in area to the warehouse and/or packing area and putting away stock

  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and stock check where required

  • Check goods out against orders and ensure delivery notes raised ready for dispatch

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work to procedures

  • Good Communicator

  • PC literate with good administration skills

  • Experience in manual handling and goods in/out processes

  • Ability to prioritise workload

  • Flexible and trustworthy

  • Driving licence/forklift licence an advantage

 

Working Conditions

  • Full time position – Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm.

  • Hours – Paid 45 hours per week.

  • Holiday entitlement – 20 days plus Bank Holidays

  • Working conditions are normal for a warehouse operation

  • Report to – Neal Fry – Factory Manager

  • Working from our Head Office at 11 The Felbridge Centre, East Grinstead, West Sussex. RH19 1XZ.
